Our Story

Derek Kirby is a third generation flooring installer,his grandfather George started a flooring company after immigrating to Canada. years later his father Mark started his own flooring company after working for George and countless other companies for decades.It is now time for Derek to follow in his father and grandfathers footsteps! To say flooring is in Derek’s DNA would be an undestatement! Derek has spent his life learning the flooring business, from installation, to product knowledge, to one of a kind customer service. Together Derek and his wife Carissa carry an abundance of experience and passion with them into their flooring sales and installation business, Kirby’s Complete Flooring Centre.

Kirby’s Philosophy

At Kirby’s we believe in great products, service, and quality workmanship; but most importantly we offer it in a welcoming environment. We are a family run business, and we believe in treating our customers as family as well (Sometimes better!).  We believe in educating our customers so that the can make a proper decision when choosing the right floor, while keeping them within their budget.  You can always feel comfortable coming into Kirby’s knowing you won’t get sales pushed on you, you’ll just get the facts and help you need. The most common feedback we receive is “straight up, honest” and we will always abide by those ethics.

We take our mission statement very seriously which is found in Colossians 3:23 ” And whatever you do work heartily as for the lord and not for men.”
